Girls’ hockey falls in Plattsburgh visit

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — The Middlebury Union High School girls’ hockey team came up short on Monday, 6-0, at Plattsburgh (N.Y.) High School.
MUHS held the hosts to 1-0 after one period, but Plattsburgh scored three times in the second period to pull away. Tiger goalie Abby Hodsden made 25 saves as the Tigers dropped to 1-1.
The Tigers faced another tough challenge on Wednesday after the deadline for this edition of the Independent, as they were set to visit Division I title contender BFA-St. Albans.
They will host another contender, Essex, on Friday at 5 p.m. MUHS will also host their annual holiday tournament next Thursday and Friday, with a pair of 5 p.m. games, vs. Champlain Valley/Mt. Mansfield on Thursday and Spaulding on Friday.
