Farmer coalition meeting set for Jan. 25 in Vergennes

ADDISON COUNTY — The Champlain Valley Farmer Coalition will hold its 2018 annual meeting next Thursday, Jan. 25, at the American Legion hall in Vergennes.
Speakers lined up for the evening include Vermont Agriculture Secretary Anson Tebbetts, Natural Resources Secretary Julie Moore and Paul Costello of the Vermont Council of Rural Development/Vermont Climate Action Committee.
Vermont storyteller Bill Torrey will provide the evening’s entertainment. Author of “The Ta Ta Weenie Club,” Torrey will entertain guests with his wacky, hilarious and heart-wrenching stories about growing up in and working the land of rural Vermont.
The evening will start at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar and social time followed at 6 p.m. with a free turkey dinner and the program starting at 6:45 p.m.
The Vergennes Legion is at 100 Armory Lane.
