Pizza social to be held at Elmer Farm July 31

MIDDLEBURY — The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont, known as NOFA-VT, is inviting the public to a “Celebrate Your Farmer Pizza Social” at the Elmer Farm in Middlebury later this month.
The event on Tuesday, July 31, 5:30-8 p.m., will take place at 855 Case St. (Route 116 just south of the intersection with Cady Road).
Elmer Farm, run by the Blackwell family, is a certified organic farm growing 8 acres of vegetables, grains and flowers. Come and enjoy dinner baked in NOFA-VT’s wood-fired pizza oven, followed by a farm tour.
At this social the organization will also hold a discussion about its strategic plan for the next five years, and asks NOFA-VT members to come and share their thoughts to help shape organization goals and priorities.
The event is free, but NOFA-VT is asking for a suggested $10 donation per person to cover the cost of the food. RSVP is requested to get a head count, but not required; do so here: nofavt.org/events/celebrate-your-farmer-social-elmer-farm.
