Thomas J. Frankovic Sr., 75, of Addison

THOMAS J. FRANKOVIC, SR.

ADDISON — Thomas J. Frankovic Sr. passed away peacefully on Aug. 2, 2019, after a brief illness.
He was born April 5, 1944, in Passaic, N.J. to Nell (Potoczak) and Joseph A. Frankovic. He graduated from Wayne High School in 1962, served as a corpsman in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1963-1965 and was a police officer for 25 years with the Township of Wayne, N.J. Police Department, where he founded the K-9 corps with his own German Shepherd. In retirement he volunteered as a foster grandparent through RSVP.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by daughter JoAnn (Kevin) Knox of Papillion, Neb.; son Tommy (Megan) Frankovic of Cornwall, Vt.; his grandchildren Jordyn and Andrew (Papillion, Neb.) and Aven (Cornwall, Vt.) whom he loved dearly; sister Joette (Edward) Clark of Butler, N.J.; special nieces Toni Kiernan, Elise Silversey, and Valerie Bross; and former wife Ellen Barbera of Middlebury, Vt.
Funeral services will be private. Donations in his memory can be made to Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department or Homeward Bound of Addison County. The family would like to extend their gratitude to VARS and MREMS for their service, and to the staff of the MICU and Miller 5 at UVMMC for their compassionate care.◊
