Bristol Police Log: Parking tickets served at Bartlett Falls
BRISTOL — Bristol police continue to receive complaints about — and issue tickets for — illegal parking on Lincoln Road near Bartlett Falls.
Drivers should beware that parking is not allowed in any part of the travel lane.
Between Aug. 5 and 11, Bristol police completed six foot patrols and more than five hours of car patrols in various parts of town, some of which were part of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program. Officers checked security at Mount Abraham Union High School four times, conducted four business checks, processed at least four requests for fingerprints and verified one vehicle identification number.
The department also assisted Vermont State Police once and Bristol Rescue twice.
In other recent activity, Bristol police:
• On Aug. 5 completed a crash incident report for insurance purposes after a person noticed their vehicle was damaged while parked in a parking lot.
• On Aug. 5 responded to a motor vehicle complaint on Liberty Street but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.
• On Aug. 6 began investigating a motor vehicle complaint.
• On Aug. 7 served court paperwork to someone.
• On Aug. 7 responded to a report of an out-of-control juvenile, but upon arrival found the situation under control.
• On Aug. 7 assisted a parent with a child car seat installation.
• On Aug. 8 investigated a motor vehicle complaint, located the vehicle and issued a warning to the driver.
• On Aug. 8 completed a background check for a federal agency.
• On Aug. 8 began investigating a suspicious complaint.
• On Aug. 8 completed computer training.
• On Aug. 9 investigated an abandoned vehicle complaint, identified the owner and ordered the vehicle to be removed.
• On Aug. 9 assisted with a vehicle lockout.
• On Aug. 9 conducted a property watch at Mount Abraham Union High School.
• On Aug. 10 began investigating a report of possible stalking.
• On Aug. 10 facilitated the return of property that had been found on South Street.
