Golfers vie in regular competition

MIDDLEBURY — In an otherwise relatively quiet week at Ralph Myhre Golf Course the regular weekly competitions for members were staged between Aug. 14 and 16.
On Wednesday the 14th the foursome of Griffin Gillman, Caleb Burkle, Luther Tenny and Bryon Emilo won the Wednesday Men’s Scramble.
Taking second was the team of Dayton Contois, Bill Nillson, Steve Cooper and Hogan Beazley; the foursome of Dale White, Josh Newton, Bert Phinney and Ric Wheeler was third.
On Thursday the 15th in Bill Davidson Men’s Golf the quartet of Jeff Stetson, Eric Bergland, John Davis and Doug Biklin prevailed.
Deem Schoenfeld, John Myhre, Richard Romagnoli and Mike Adams finished second, and Jim Johnston, Hogan Beazley, Jim Twitchell and Matthew Biette were third. Adams earned the day’s best low net score.
On Friday the 16th the threesome of Jill Jesso-White, Dale White and Jay Best came out on top in the Friday Evening Mixer. Todd Oliver, Angie Oliver and Georgia Best comprised the second-place team.
