MONTPELIER — The Vermont Governor’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities (GCEPD) recently announced that the Inn at Baldwin Creek in Bristol will be the only Addison County business to be given a 2019 Spirit of the ADA Awards. The awards are given to employers who reflect the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act in their employment practices. 
Awardees successfully: 
• Recruit people with disabilities. 
• Use on-the-job accommodations and creative solutions to train and employ people with disabilities. 
• Provide accessible physical structures, equipment and services. 
• Support person(s) with a disability as an overall employment strategy. 
Donna Curtin, chair of the Governor’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities, congratulates this year’s award winners: “Thank you to this year’s outstanding employers as well as past Spirit of the ADA Award Winners for recognizing that employing Vermonters of all abilities enhances the workforce and strengthens communities.” 
Curtin will present the Spirit of the ADA Award to the Inn at Baldwin Creek and Mary’s Restaurant owners Doug Mack and Linda Harmon on Friday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m. The presentation will take place at the business, which is located at 1868 Route 116 in Bristol north of the village.
