Middlebury church to host annual bazaar
MIDDLEBURY — The Congregational Church of Middlebury, UCC, is holding its annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The bazaar features handmade craft items, fine items, not-quite-so-fine-but-still-useful household items, gently used books, children’s toys and books, baked goods, plants for the house or seeds and bulbs for next spring’s beauty, theme baskets that make wonderful gifts, and jewelry, scarves, and men’s ties to add beauty to any wardrobe. There is even a hanging-quilt raffle displaying pictures of Middlebury.
In addition, there will be a display of paintings by the church’s own Bob Campbell donated for sale, any one of which would enhance a wall.
Do not hurry away with treasures. Stop and have a delicious lunch in Fellowship Hall between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. A wide variety of soups, sandwiches, and pies will be on offer. Soup can also be purchased by the pint or quart to take home. A new table this year will be a chocolate table full of those mouth-watering goodies that are hard to resist. Don’t resist. Just indulge.
Santa will make an appearance between 10 a.m. and noon.
The Annual Holiday Bazaar funds will enable the church to help their mission to the community and the world.
