Elderly Services to host talk on dementia

MIDDLEBURY — According to the Vermont Alzheimer’s Association, 13,000 older Vermonters are diagnosed with dementia. Families are hungry for information and help. With that in mind, Elderly Services will host a panel of four experienced caregivers on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 5 p.m. The program will take place at the Elderly Services headquarters at 112 Exchange Street in Middlebury.
“We’re offering our program on ‘Caring for Loved Ones with Dementia’ to help local families,” says social worker Eileen Lawson. “Our panelists will share their first-hand experiences of living with their relatives’ day-to-day changes and challenges.” To reserve a spot for the Nov. 7 program, RSVP to Eileen Lawson at 388-3983.
