VERGENNES — Robert C. Barrows Sr., 94, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at his home in Vergennes.
He was born Dec. 7, 1925, in Vergennes. After graduating high school in 1944 he joined the Army Air Force. After the Army he attended UVM and graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating he was hired by Simmonds Precision and worked there for 44 years.
He was predeceased by two sons (Skipper) Robert C. Barrows, Jr. and Thomas Barrows.
He leaves two daughters, Susan Button of Mississippi and Lynn M. Barrows of Addison. He leaves several nieces and nephews, many grand and great-grandchildren.
