Volunteer training on tap for WomenSafe

MIDDLEBURY —WomenSafe is now accepting applications for its Annual Volunteer Training, scheduled to start on Saturday, Sept. 26. The organization, which works to prevent, address and end dating, domestic, sexual violence and stalking is looking for those with a desire to help make the community a more just and safe place to live.
WomenSafe has designed a comprehensive and dynamic training program and encourages community members to apply now. This year training will be held virtually due to COVID-19. Participants will acquire all the tools needed to: provide direct service through both WomenSafe’s 24-hour hotline and in person, monitor supervised visits, prevention education and community outreach events, provide childcare or perform administrative tasks. Space is limited; for more information or an application packet, contact WomenSafe at 388-9180 or [email protected] or visit them online at womensafe.net.
