Lincoln news for Sep. 24

LINCOLN — Calling all walkers, bikers, runners and strollers, two historic walks through Lincoln are now available just in time to enjoy the foliage.  The Lincoln Historic Society and Lincoln Library present descriptions of the people and businesses, from 1860 to present day, who helped build this town.
Do you know where a gunsmith lived? Why do the Creamery Street houses look somewhat alike?  Do you know about the day Lincoln died? Find out where you could get the latest-in-fashion hat or a cold sip of buttermilk. You can find and see all the answers while getting some exercise, maintaining social distancing and enjoying a part of our beautiful town. Copies of the tour booklets are available at the Lincoln General Store and the Lincoln Library.
Plan a visit to the Lincoln Library and check out all the things you can do for free. Browse and check out a book, movie or audiobook or download a book through overdrive or the Libby app. State park passes are also available to check out. You can watch movies through Kanopy, use a computer or get a take and make activity pack for the kids to enjoy. Don’t forget about the free wifi outside of the building! Stop by and say hello to the wonderful librarians and volunteers.
SAVE THE DATE: There will be no school for MAUSD students on Friday, Oct. 16.
Until next time … Forget The Day’s Troubles, Remember The Day’s Blessings. What Comes Easy Won’t Last, What Lasts, Won’t Come Easy. Your Attitude Determines Your Direction.
