Now that things in the town office are returning to normal after the November General Election, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who was involved in the election for contributing to its success. This list includes people both at the state and local level, from our representatives in Montpelier, to Secretary of State Jim Condos, to the staff at the Elections Division on down to town staff: members of the BCA, poll workers, ballot counters and voters. Every citizen had a stake in the success of the election, and in Salisbury we came through with flying colors.
With a record number of voters participating, during a pandemic and through all of the rhetoric on both sides of this election, what I witnessed in Salisbury was nothing short of concerned citizens making their voices heard in an orderly, friendly and entirely civil manner. I am so grateful to live in and serve such an awesome community. I would like, especially, to express my gratitude to the poll workers, ballot counters and voters of Salisbury for taking such care in making this Election Day a success.
