Otter Valley girls’ soccer tops Twin Valley to pick up fourth win of fall

WHITINGHAM — The Otter Valley Union High School girls’ soccer team picked up a Division III road win on Tuesday, 2-0 at Twin Valley.
The Otters improved to 4-2 and unofficially are in the top four in the D-III standings.
Goalie Gabby Poalino stopped eight shots and recorded her fourth shutout of the fall. Coach Rick Hedding said some of her saves were critical, and also credited midfielders Abbie Pinkowski and Nicole Rossi for their ball movement and defensive work.
The goals came from Olivia Drew, assisted by Lexi Hedding, and Emily Fox, assisted by Isabelle Kingsley.
The Otters will host Green Mountain Union on Saturday at 10 a.m.
