Health care specialist presents talk at Ilsley on Tanzania screening program

MIDDLEBURY — Women’s health care specialist Linda Andrews will give a talk titled “Establishing a National Cervical Cancer Screening Program in Tanzania” on Monday, Dec. 7, from 7-9 p.m. in the Community Meeting Room at Ilsley Public Library in Middlebury.
Andrews has worked internationally for the last 28 years with long-term assignments in Thailand, Somalia, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Malawi and Uganda. The last six years she worked for Columbia University in Tanzania where she provided technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare to establish a national cervical cancer screening program.
