North Branch School to host dinner/dance fundraiser
MIDDLEBURY — The North Branch School of Ripton, an independent school for students in grades seven through nine, will be hosting the 12th annual NBS Dinner and Contra Dance with Run Mountain and caller Adina Gordon at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury on Friday, Dec. 11, from 6-10 p.m.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a cash bar. Hors d’oeuvres will be served by NBS students followed by a hearty and delicious homemade dinner of meat or vegetarian chili, bread, salad and dessert. Around 8 p.m. the floor will be cleared for music and contra dancing with Run Mountain.
In lieu of a live auction at the gala this year, the school is hosting an online auction filled with interesting and eclectic items perfect for holiday shopping. Check it out and support the school by going to www.biddingforgood.com.
Advance tickets are available at The Vermont Book shop or from North Branch families. The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for students.
For more information, call NBS at 388-3269 or visit www.northbranchschool.org. All proceeds benefit the school’s financial aid fund.
