JOSHUA THOMAS DESROCHER

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Joshua Thomas Desrocher, a devoted father, loving husband, cherished son, and beloved brother, passed away Oct. 12, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will miss him forever.

Joshua graduated from Middlebury Union High School (MUHS) in 2004. Just weeks after graduation, and before even turning 18, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. His military career took him around the world, allowing him to live in several countries, including South Korea and Italy, before eventually being stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.

After years of traveling and serving his country, Joshua found his home in Fayetteville, N.C., where he built a life with his wife, Raven, and raised their three beautiful children, Sophie, Hannah and Noah. Above all else, his family was a defining part of his life, and he will forever be remembered as a loving father and a caring, understanding husband.

Joshua was an exceptionally intelligent man with a passion for technology. Through his work in Army communications, he always kept up with the latest technology and innovations. He was never shy about sharing his opinion and was always willing to help others figure out what worked best. His intelligence, knowledge, and willingness to lend a hand were just a few of the qualities that made him so special.

Those who knew Joshua will remember his kind heart, his loving nature, and the many ways he cared for the people in his life. He was a son, a brother, a husband and a father whose presence made a lasting impact on those around him. Though his loss leaves an immeasurable void, the memories he created and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of his family forever.

Joshua is survived by his wife, Raven, and their three children, Sophie, Hannah, and Noah; his mother, Lisa Brande, and stepfather, Tom Brande; his father, Mark Desrocher, and Michelle; his siblings, Samantha Willard, Eden Prim, and Reilly Desrocher; and his loving aunts and uncles, Robin Eddy (Richard) and Candace Brinkman and Anne Desrocher. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Ginny and Donald Desrocher. He will also be deeply missed by extended family members, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Joshua’s life was far too short, but the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will last a lifetime. He will forever be loved, forever be missed, and never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Ferrisburgh Town Hall, 3279 Route 7, Ferrisburgh, Vt.

Rest in peace, Joshua. You will always be loved. ◊
