Chief Gibbs honored for 30 years’ service in Bristol
BRISTOL — At Monday’s Bristol selectboard meeting, Bristol Police Chief Kevin Gibbs was honored for his 30 years of service to the department.
Bristol Police Advisory Board Chair Jim Quaglino and Bristol selectboard Chair Michelle Perlee presented Chief Gibbs with a plaque in recognition of his 30 years’ service. The audience was reminded of the sacrifices that police officers and their families endure during their careers, noting that the average citizen would not experience in their lifetime what police officers do in 25-30 or more years of service.
The Bristol selectboard and Police Advisory Board thank Chief Gibbs for his service.
Present at the ceremony also were Bristol selectboard members Joel Bouvier, Peeker Heffernan, Ted Lylis, Peter Coffey and town administrator Terese Kirby.
Bristol Police Sgt. Randy Crowe, Officer Josh Otey and administrative assistant Liz Tracy also attended.
