In Middlebury House race, Sheldon and Scheu are winners

Election 2016 is under way.
We have a winner in the Addison-1 Vermont House race — the two-seat district that encompasses only the town of Middlebury.
1. Incumbent Rep. Amy Sheldon, a Democrat, is returned to her seat with 2,210 votes.
2. Robin Scheu, a fellow Dem, was the second-place vote-getter with 1,937 tallies. She’s going to the Vermont House.
3. Progressive Jill Charbonneau was third with 1,377 votes and will not be going to Montpelier.
These results come from the Vt. Secretary of State’s office and they are, as of Tuesday evening, unoffficial.
