Kudos given to 16 high school field hockey stars

ADDISON COUNTY — Sixteen members of the Mount Abraham, Otter Valley and Middlebury union high school field hockey teams earned postseason honors in 2016 from either the Metro Conference or the Marble Valley League A Division.
Two Eagles were named First Team Metro All-Stars: senior midfielder Ashley Turner and senior forward Jackie Reiss. Joining them on the Metro First Team was Tiger senior forward Lily Smith.
The MVL A Division coaches named two Otter seniors as First Team All-Stars: forward Allison Lowell and midfielder Courtney Bushey.
Earning Second Team Metro honors were two Tiger juniors, forward Nina Schroeren and midfielder Laura Whitley, and two Eagle juniors, defenders Robyn Arena and Emily Aldrich.
Four Tigers earned Metro Honorable Mention: junior goalie Bridget Audet, freshman forward Lexi Bartlett, senior midfielder Kiana Plouffe and senior forward Calista Carl. Two Eagles also earned Metro Honorable Mention, senior forward Hannah Wahl and sophomore goalie Chessley Jackman.
OV senior defender Meghan Hallett earned MVL A Division Honorable Mention.
