Bristol Police Log: Police get school supplies for local youth
BRISTOL — The Bristol Police Department recently received donations of backpacks and other school supplies from community members and the United Way. The department’s selection includes backpacks in elementary and middle/high school sizes. Those in need of assistance getting school supplies and other items are asked to reach out to Bristol’s community resource specialist at 802-453-2533.
Between Aug. 2 and 8 Bristol police completed six foot patrols, conducted two traffic stops and checked security at local schools 12 times and area businesses three times.
Police also processed nine fingerprint requests, dealt with one traffic hazard, responded to one family fight/domestic incident, conducted one background investigation and assisted with one animal problem. In other recent activity, Bristol police responded to two incidents involving suspicious activity, dealt with one citizen dispute and assisted community members on two occasions and other agencies in three cases.
