Francis ‘Frank’ Galgano, 89, of Addison
ADDISON — It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Francis “Frank” Galgano, Thursday, July 23, 2026, just one month shy of his 90th birthday. True to his wishes, he passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.
Frank was a devoted husband to Margaret “Peg” and a loving father to Peter and Susan. He was also a proud grandfather to Wilson, Xavier, and Nicholas — each of whom brought him endless joy. His warmth, humor, and kindness touched everyone who knew him.
A lifelong New Yorker, Frank built a successful career in business, but his greatest pride was always his family. He served on the local school board, coached Little League, and mentored young umpires and always found ways to give back to his community.
He and Peg purchased a camp on Lake Champlain when their family was young that became their summer home, where the family spent time on the lake with their beloved Randall cousins nearby as well as neighbors on Elm Point, especially the Pratt and Carlin families. He delighted in watching three generations of their family grow. He and Peg created a home filled with laughter, and friendship. Even after retiring to Elm Point more than 30 years ago, Lake Champlain continued to be his sanctuary, and Frank’s circle of friends was wide. He loved his coffee time at WAGS with his many buddies, especially Bill and Bart, along with long conversations and shared time with his friends.
He served as chair of the Addison town Planning Commission and was active in the Addison community. He had a life lived well and will be missed by many.
A celebration of life will be held in September.◊
