Letter to the editor: A vote for Van Wyck is a vote against the carbon tax

More taxes?
The carbon tax has been supported by the Democrats for the past two legislative sessions.
The fuel dealers association has stated this legislation could add up to 89 cents a gallon for gasoline, 58 cents on propane, $1.02 to a gallon of heating oil and diesel fuel. These taxes affect every Vermonter who travels to work, use heating oil or propane to heat their homes, uses farm equipment, and adds additional cost to local deliveries of food and other supplies.
Rep. Warren Van Wyck has been consistent in not supporting the carbon tax.
He understands how this tax will hurt every segment of the Vermont economy and affect people’s lives.
A vote for Warren VanWyck is a vote against this harmful legislation.
