Pet Spotlight: Wheel

HI, WHEEL!

Wheel is a 4-year-old Checkered-mix rabbit who is fully litter box trained. She was adopted not long ago but returned to the shelter because she didn’t get along with the other rabbit in the home. Not fond of being held or mingling with other rabbits, Wheel finds solace in burrowing into fuzzy blankets and exploring her surroundings with curiosity. She is a tender soul who enjoys gentle pats on the head and would do best in a quiet, laid-back home.

Though shy at first, Wheel quickly becomes your best friend when tempted with tasty treats. In fact, she’s SO motivated by treats (vegetables) that shelter staff have started trick training her and they are quite certain she is going to be a superstar! They’ve even ordered a rabbit jump for her to try! Wheel is a fan of other engaging activities like stacking cups and solving puzzle feeders.

Our shelter Reiki volunteers enjoy sitting with Wheel and they have all reported what Zen energy she gives off. She flops on her back while they sit with her and rolls around on her blanket! If you are looking for a loyal companion who thrives on gentle interactions and cozy atmospheres, Wheel could be a perfect match for you!

For questions about Wheel, please call Homeward Bound, 802-388-1100, ext. 109, or email [email protected].
