Linda J. Cousino Roscoe, of Bristol

LINDA J. COUSINO ROSCOE

BRISTOL — Linda J. Cousino Roscoe had a change of address on March 6, 2024. She left her Earthly home in Bristol, Vt., and now resides in heaven.

Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kirk W. Roscoe of Bristol. She also leaves three sons and their wives, Kirk R. Roscoe (Amy), Chad J. Roscoe (Jes) and Todd D. Roscoe (Jolene).

Linda leaves 10 grandchildren, the lights of her life. Maggie Greely (Jamal) of Missoula, Mont.; Mearyn and Grace Roscoe of Delaware; Brendon (Virginia) and Bridget Crowningshield of New York; Tristin and Kelsey Roscoe of Bristol; Ellec Roscoe of Montana; and Mylee and Samuel Roscoe of New York.

She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Jackson and Oakland of Virginia and Felix Greely of Montana.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Bernadette Blaise Cousino of Bristol. Also, by seven brothers, Lucius, Guy, Ambrose, Eugene, Joseph, Thomas and Peter Cousino, as well as two sisters, Marjorie Paquette (Emile) and Veronica Mayer (Ray). Oh the reunion they will have!

Linda’s surviving siblings include Yvonne (Ray) Morgan of Middlebury, Vt.; Roger Cousino (Denise) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Vergennes, Vt.; Charles Cousino (Susan) of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Vergennes, Vt.; Anne (Peter Perlee) Myrick of Bridport, Vt.; Patricia (Victor) Atkins of Lincoln, Vt.; and her very favorite sister in the world, Mary (Robert) Bingham of Bristol, Vt. Linda is also survived by countless nieces and nephews and cousins, all of whom adored her.

Linda graduated from Mount Abraham UHS in 1969. She married her husband, Kirk, in 1973 and they began their family the next year. Linda became a caregiver first to children and then to the elderly. She owned and operated a Community Care Home for the elderly for 37 years. After her retirement, she continued to care for the elderly by working for family members. She was a valued commodity and everyone fought over getting her first!

The greatest joy of Linda and Kirk’s life together was entertaining their family and friends with lavish barbecues and dinners and get togethers. There was nothing they enjoyed more than having their children and grandchildren around them. Linda was known for her epic and amazing cooking skills and if you got an invitation to eat there, you had gold! You couldn’t find a woman who exuded more love and generosity than Linda Roscoe. If you knew her, you knew love in its most pure form.

Linda was known for her jokes and laughter. She loved to tease children and adults alike and didn’t mind being teased herself. There was not a child born who didn’t adore this woman. She made everyone feel like they had a very special place in her heart. Linda had the most forgiving heart in this universe. Her words to everyone were “Just let it go, it’s not worth it.” Linda was a God loving woman and her faith was absolutely incredible. Her words while she was so sick were “Don’t worry, God has me. I will be alright. It’s a win/win for me. If I am cured, I will stay here with my earth family and if I go to heaven I will walk the streets of gold with God and be with my heavenly family.”

So when you think of Linda, think of love. Think of forgiveness. Think of faith. Think of caring for others. She was Love. There is no greater word to describe her.

And just so you know…she loved you MORE! ◊
