VERGENNES — City police last week helped a seriously ill juvenile at the John Graham Shelter receive medical care after being asked on Nov. 6 to accompany the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad on a call.

Police said they could not discuss many details of a case that remains under investigation, but that the juvenile is currently hospitalized and in state custody.

On Nov. 6:

• Signed off on a form indicating that a New York resident had fixed faulty equipment on a vehicle, a condition that the individual not receive a traffic citation from that state.

On Nov. 7:

• At the request of an out-of-state caller checked the welfare of a possibly suicidal resident, learning the individual was OK and receiving counseling.
