Vermont State Police Log: Area woman cited for negligent driving
ADDISON COUNTY — A Vermont State Police trooper was sitting in a cruiser parked on Route 7 near Dog Team Road in New Haven on Monday, Nov. 13, at around a quarter to six p.m. when he saw a sedan speeding northbound on the highway passing other cars and apparently forcing some of them out of their lanes to avoid crashes. The officer pulled over the sedan and cited the driver, identified as 27-year-old Heather Selleck of Brandon, for negligent driving.
In other recent activity, troopers:
• On Nov. 6 cited Christopher Stearns, 44, of Shoreham for violating his court ordered conditions of release.
• On Nov. 7 at a quarter after 7 p.m. responded to a Valley View Drive home in Monkton for a reported domestic disturbance. Police said Brian Cashman, 50, of Monkton, VT caused bodily injury to a household member in the presence of children. They arrested Cashman, took him to the New Haven barracks and cited him for domestic assault and committing an assault in front of a child.
• On Nov. 9 at around 9:13 p.m. responded to a one-car crash on Walker Road in Ferrisburgh. Police reported that an animal ran out in front of a car driven by Ashley Fisk, 36, of Ferrisburgh; Fisk swerved to avoid the animal and drove into a small ditch, where the vehicle rolled onto the passenger side, entrapping the passenger. Audrey Gendreau, 57, of Ferrisburgh, the passenger, sustained an injury to her arm. Gendreau was taken to UVM Medical Center in stable condition. The trooper cited Fisk for driving with a criminally suspended license.
• At just after midnight on Nov. 12 stopped a vehicle for allegedly violating a traffic rule on Route 7 near Route 17 in New Haven. Police cited Clyde S. Bovat, 74, of St. George for possession of cocaine and driving with a criminally suspended license.
