Letter to the editor: ACEDC thankful for funding from county voters

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and clients of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC), I extend sincere thanks to the voters of Addison County municipalities who approved contributions to ACEDC at Town Meeting in March 2023 (Bridport, Bristol, Ferrisburgh, Leicester, Lincoln, Middlebury, Shoreham, Weybridge and Salisbury).

ACEDC is the county’s regional economic development nonprofit, with the mission to create an entrepreneurial and innovative business environment, nurturing businesses to launch, grow, and thrive. The goal of economic and community development is to raise the standard of living for everyone in the region. We appreciate that Addison County citizens recognize and support our work, helping Addison County businesses from all backgrounds, at all stages, size, and sector, to grow and create and retain good-paying jobs.

Our work includes partnering with other groups to advocate for and advance solutions to issues currently limiting the economic well-being of Vermonters, including labor shortages, available and affordable housing, the availability of quality childcare, and ubiquitous high-speed broadband service.

We invite you to visit our website to learn more about our work and its impact, and to subscribe to our e-newsletter to stay informed about programs, events, and opportunities for businesses and nonprofit organizations in Addison County: www.addisoncountyedc.org/.
