BOONE, N.C. — Eleanor Rita “Dee” Dundon, 83, of Boone, N.C., died peacefully at her home on March 23, 2022, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. She was just five days shy of her 84th birthday. She was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Dundon of Orwell, Vt. Her sister, Mary Yungfleisch, died only 10 days later at her home in Palm Springs, Calif.
