Note of Appreciation: Public art takes a team effort
We wanted to take a moment to acknowledge everyone who helped bring the beautiful new mural on the corner of Bakery Lane to life.
Our thanks go to the town of Middlebury, the selectboard for its approval, the Downtown Improvement District Commission for helping to fund the project, the Public Works staff for ensuring safe road closure during set up, the wonderfully talented Matt Heywood for creating the artwork, and Silver Maple for their time and expertise during installation.
Projects like this look simple once they’re finished, but there are always many hands behind them. It takes a full team effort, and we feel incredibly lucky to live in a town where people are so willing to collaborate, pitch in, and make good things happen!
With much gratitude,
Kathryn Torres & Kelly Flynn
