Mount Abe school district welcomes new staff for 2026
BRISTOL — The Mount Abraham Unified School District announced that it has hired 30 new employees for the 2026-2027 school year. Classes in the Bristol-area schools began on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
The news teachers and staff are:
Mount Abraham Union Middle and High School
Gabe Billings, Athletics and Activities Director; Lilith Blackwell, Literacy Interventionist; Edward Bolin, Custodian 2nd shift; Will Chaney, Social Studies; Frank McGowan, Behavior Assistant; and Nicole Schlenter, School Nutrition Assistant Manager.
Monkton Central School
and Margaret Phelan, Educational Assistant
Beeman Elementary School in New Haven
Portia Senning, Literacy Interventionist; and Caitlynn Duval, Custodian
Robinson Elementary School in Starksboro
and Michelle Bennett, Educational Assistant for SPED
Bristol Elementary School
and Bethany Orvis, Educational Assistant
