The ceasefire in Gaza has been called a “cruel and deadly illusion” by UNICEF USA. Since the so-called ceasefire on October 10, 2025, when Trump announced his Board of Peace, violence has persisted, adding to the 73,386 Palestinians that have been killed in this war.
The conditions have become ever more dire as the population of Gaza is suffering from malnutrition. It has been projected that 101,000 children alone will have suffered from acute malnutrition by this October. “Israel’s tactical restrictions on the entry of food, the militarization of aid corridors and distribution sites, and the targeted attacks on Gaza’s essential infrastructure have created an environment in which hunger is deliberately used as a means of control over the population,” warns Doctors Without Borders.
Gaza is buried under rubble. With 96% of cropland damaged or destroyed, Palestinians are entirely dependent on the food and water delivered by trucks.
Children in this war have been deliberately targeted. An independent UN Commission report has accused Israel of deliberately targeting Palestinian children in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem in the last two and a half years. IDF soldiers have themselves bragged on social media of their killing of children as young as infants. These are evil crimes. Israel’s military, one of the four “superior militaries” in the world, along with the United States, Russia and China, is known for its precision tactical weapons. Their weapons allow the Israeli military to target their opponents with total accuracy. In this case, the children being shot to death have needed only one bullet, most frequently aimed at the head or abdomen.
When will the United States stop sending billions of dollars yearly to Israel to fund their occupation, subjugation and genocide against the Palestinian people? Just look at the data presented by various international monitoring organizations: 73,386 deaths of persons documented by hospital and morgue records, 174,250 Palestinians injured in the Strip, 0 healthcare facilities functioning at full capacity, 88% of school buildings severely damaged, 82% of all structures damaged or destroyed and 92% of housing units destroyed. And most alarming: 21,589 Palestinian children killed, and 44,500 Palestinian children injured with severe burns and amputations.
Netanyahu has rejected the 15-point Peace Plan brokered by the U.S. Top Israeli cabinet members have called for Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip, thereby facilitating the mass migration of the Palestinian People out of Gaza. Starvation, the targeted killing of young children, destruction of all infrastructure, mass killings of civilians and total control over the aid trying to get to the Palestinians can only be called ethnic cleansing. A last figure verified by the Israeli Government, only 4 Israelis have been killed in this war since last October, and these deaths were military casualties.
