Battle of the Bands: Inaugural event draws applause
The winning band Funkuda was crowned with the prize of a handmade lobster plate — and ultimate bragging rights. The band included Kai Fukuda, Middlebury (’23.5); Kaz Fukuda, Berklee College of Music (’29); Naomi Clark, Middlebury (’24); and Jon Jon March, Middlebury (’23.5).

The inaugural Battle of the Bands was a smash hit, complete with bustlin’ beats, cheering crowds and a lobster named Bob.
