Note of Appreciation: Thank you for supporting Green Mountain Day Camp
Green Mountain Day Camp, an all-volunteer run weeklong day camp supported by the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, wrapped up their third year last week. It was a fantastic week of swimming, fly fishing, canoeing, archery, camping, singing, crafts and just good fun attended by 48 girls from Addison, Rutland and Chittenden Counties.
A huge thank you goes out to the local businesses that supported us, assisting with the cost of food and supplies for our one overnight camping experience. Hannaford of Middlebury, Shaw’s of Middlebury and Bristol, Greg’s Market, Middlebury Natural Food Co-op, Middlebury Bagel & Deli, Green Peppers and the Route 7 Sandwich Shop all contributed to the effort, and we are so grateful for their support. In addition, a generous grant from Neat Repeats allowed us to purchase another event tent, providing the space needed for our increased number of campers this year.
Please support these generous local businesses. I know I will!
