Local events celebrate forests, wildlands

A SERIES OF events unfolding in Addison County next week in part aims to celebrate old forests like the one pictured here, along the south branch of the Middlebury River. The program is called “A Celebration of Old Forests and Wildlands of Vermont” and will feature performances, discussions and presentations at local high schools, among other activities. The events are intended “to inform, explore, celebrate, and help conserve wildlands and forests in Vermont and the Northeast.”
