Boys’ tennis edged in semifinal

The seventh-seeded Middlebury Union High School boys’ tennis team came up short in a semifinal on Monday, 4-3, against No. 3 seed Essex, in a match played at Davis Park in Shelburne. That loss came only after the defending champion Tigers knocked off host No. 2. Stowe, 4-3, on June 5.
