Tigers to skate in all-star game
ESSEX — Two Middlebury Union High School seniors have been selected to play in the 39th Rotary All-Star Hockey Classic this Saturday, March 22, at the Essex Skating Facility in Essex.
Senior boys and girls are selected from high schools across Vermont to participate in this event. The girls’ game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. and will feature Tiger goalie Ruby Hubbell and forward McKenna Raymond, with MUHS Assistant Coach Timm Hanley at the helm. The boys’ game will follow at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 per person and the price includes admission to both games.
Net proceeds from the game will be used by the Rotary Club of Essex to support local food pantries, provide winter coats for children in need, fund scholarships for local students, and a number of health and environmental initiatives.
