Ripton and Middlebury College ink 10-year deal

Middlebury College and the town of Ripton have negotiated a new payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) agreement through which the institution will pay the municipality more than $218,000 during each of the next 10 years, in recognition of its nontaxable holdings in the small mountain town.
