Tiger boys’ hockey has a tough run
ESSEX — Host Division I Essex defeated the Middlebury Union High School boys’ hockey team on Saturday, 6-0.
The D-II Tigers dropped to 0-6 heading into a game scheduled at Burlington on Wednesday night. Next up on their schedule is a Saturday home game vs. Spaulding.
Three Hornets scored two goals apiece to lead the Essex attack, Shyam Meyette, Grayson Pike and Cash Rooney, while Essex goalie James Heyer made seven saves.
Goalie T.J. Baron made 30 saves for the Tigers.
