Letter to the editor: Voting can help ‘finish the fight’
“I wanna be there on the day when we finally finish the fight.”
— Shaina Taub as Alice Paul in “Suffs.” By Shaina Taub
Spoiler Alert: Alice Paul herself did not. But we might.
The Fight is equal rights for women. And women have a lot of rights! Fair jobs, voting, no more corset and petticoats.
Fairness — but we don’t have a woman president yet. Why? It would be mean to answer that but imagine! You could vote for her. You can change things. You can make herstory. If you vote for her and she wins, maybe we can finish the fight.
