Letter to the editor: ‘Vote Forward’ prior to Nov. 5
As our historic election approaches many of us want to do something to advance voter participation, especially in critical states and districts. I want to suggest a powerful strategy you can do from your home, on your own time. It’s called Vote Forward — a nonprofit personal letter writing campaign urging voters in critical states and districts to vote on Nov. 5th. Non-partisan letters are hand-written and sent to voters who lean democratic or are potential voters from marginalized communities, women and young people. Here is what my letter says:
“Voting is the voice of the people — all of us together — improving our precious democracy. Every vote counts. Your vote makes a difference.”
Google Vote Forward to join this effort.
It’s easy, it’s powerful, and it works.
