Four VUHS juniors to attend Boys State

VERGENNES — Four Vergennes Union High School juniors will be attending Green Mountain Boys’ State June 23-28 at Norwich University. Grey Fearon, Spencer Gebo, Brody McGuire and Reese Paquette were nominated by faculty and staff based on leadership, scholarship, character, and loyalty and service to their school. Vergennes American Legion Post 14 is sponsoring the four.
Green Mountain Boys’ State is a leadership laboratory for rising high school senior boys. The main focus is Vermont town, county, and state government, and its organization, policies and procedures. They will work on issues relating to Vermont, and debate and discuss these issues during a session at the State House in Montpelier.
