Boys’ hockey defeated by Mt. Mansfield
MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury Union High School boys’ hockey dropped its only game between Jan. 10 and 16, a 6-3 decision at Mount Mansfield this past Saturday.
The Tigers’ Jan. 10 home game vs. Burr & Burton was postponed until Jan. 29 at 7 p.m.
In Saturday’s game at Mount Mansfield, the Cougars broke things open by scoring five times in the second period. Owen Jones led MMU with a hat trick, Garret Carter scored twice, and goalie Lucas Parisi made 25 saves.
For the Tigers, Toby Draper and Gus Hodde each had a goal and an assist, and Ian Sinclair also scored. Tiger goalie TJ Barron stopped 23 shots.
The Tigers took a 4-3 record into a game scheduled for Wednesday at Spaulding. They are set to host Essex at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
