MARGARET ROCHON

WORCESTER, Mass. — Margaret Florence Rochon, age 90, died Oct. 4, 2023, at Christopher House in Worcester, Mass. She was born May 27, 1933, in Moriah, N.Y., the daughter of Ovila and Rose (Lesvesque) Gaboriault. She married Aurele Rochon on April 24, 1954, in Shoreham, Vt.

Aurele and Margaret had a farm in Bridport, Vt., for many years. They moved to Belleview, Fla., in 1987, where they remained until the passing of Aurele.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She loved bowling, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She was a gentle soul and will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her children, Ann Hakey (Raymond), Carolyn Barber (Ralph), Gary Rochon, David Rochon (Mary), Julie Booker (Matt), Joe’s companion, Tracy Ellis, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Brothers Clement (Joyce), Robert (Jean) and Roger (Margaret) also survive her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ovila and Rose Gaboriault; her husband, Aurele Rochon (2014); sons Raymond (1959) and Joseph (2018); granddaughter Nicole Swank (2021) and nine siblings.
