GULLY, WHO SPENT the afternoon sitting patiently atop Brooks Falls in Alaska’s Katmai National Park and Preserve with an intent gaze. He was the most successful fisher of the four bears at the falls. He was quick to eat the three fish our columnist saw him catch before a bear bully named Chunk could get to him.

I never have — and with complete confidence can say I never will — be seen “Dancing with the Stars.” As for dancing with the bears, however, that’s another story.
