Lincoln Library goes solar, carbon-free

THE HARVESTAR CREW installs a solar array at the Lincoln Library earlier this fall. Electricity from the net-metered array will power the library’s new heat pump, helping the library in its move to 100% carbon-free energy use.

When it came time to replace its 22-year-old boiler earlier this year, the Lincoln Library had to make a crucial decision: stick with heating with oil, or switch to something more environmentally friendly.
