Marlins drop meets, but many multiple winners
MIDDLEBURY — Before a scheduled home meet vs. Vergennes on Tuesday, the Middlebury Marlins swim team competed twice last week, dropping one meet at home and one on the road.
On July 12, visiting CVSL powerhouse BTC topped the Marlins, 327-133.
Felix Poduschnick led the Middlebury Swim Team (MST) with three wins, Cassandra Bellman won twice, and Gavin Krahn, Sadie Chance, Henry Cadoret, Jurgen Pirrung and Natalie Rockwell each prevailed in one race apiece.
On Thursday, host Winooski got past the Middlebury Swim Team in a closer meet, 229-165.
Bellman led the Marlins with four wins, and Poduschnick, Nicola Power, Chance and Connor McNamara contributed three wins apiece.
Rockwell added a pair of victories, and Cadoret and Pirrung each prevailed once.
