Letter to the editor: Half-mast until a ban is passed
Driving today past the Mt. Abraham High School flag, flying at half-mast, I was reminded of the mass shooting in Highland Park, Ill., on July 4th.
I think the flag should be flown at half-mast every day, everywhere in the country, since there are approximately two mass shootings a day in the United States.
We should continue this practice of remembering the carnage until our U.S. Congress reinstitutes the ban on sales of assault weapons.
