Baseball playoffs: Eagles fall in Stetson’s finale; only VUHS wins

LONGTIME EAGLE COACH Jeff Stetson and his wife, Mary Stetson, also retiring from a long, successful stint leading the Eagle field hockey program, plan to travel around the country.

In Tuesday’s high school baseball playoff action, a first-round upset ended the 41-year Mount Abraham varsity coaching career of Jeff Stetson. That same day Vergennes pulled off an upset, but Otter Valley and Middlebury dropped road contests to higher seeds.
