After hiatus, Field Days is back for August 2021

NEW HAVEN — They will be lighting up the fairgrounds this August for the Addison County Fair and Field Days, which was canceled in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday evening fair organizers posted on their Facebook page:
It’s happening people….
THE FAIR IS HAPPENING THIS YEAR!
August 10th-14th, 2021!!!!
Commenters reacted to the announcement with messages like “Awesome!” “Hooray!” and “Such good news!”
Many details are still in the works. Organizers hope to be ready by May 1 to take reservations for those who wish to set up campers on the fairgrounds. That’s also the date that vendor contracts are due to be mailed out. If you are a vendor not on the Field Days vendor mailing list, send an email to [email protected] to get on the list.
For those interested in details on entering the Demolition Derby, look for details from G. Stone Motors by June 1, fair organizers said.
In response to a question, Field Days official Cara Mullins said, “You will not need to be vaccinated to attend.”
Upon seeing that Field Days is a go for 2021, Facebook commenter Rachel Smith Clodgo wrote, “That’s the best news I’ve heard in a year!!!”
